Did you know that a wisent is able to run up to 60 kilometres, that he dozes most of the time of the day, that a bull can reach almost a ton in weight and and and…? The wisent exhibition reveals more oddities, trivia and fascinating stuff.
The concept of the exhibition is interactive, haptic, and practical experience based. Get involved, hands-on, knowledge gain and natural formation are the guiding principles of the concept. The ‘day of the wisent’ is the ‘red thread’ of the exhibition.
It’s sketched in the marks ‘history of the wisent from their first appearance in history’ up to the their resettlement near Bad Berleburg. In between, striking issues such as distribution, habitat and extinction are represented graphically and visually appealing.
The exhibition is a film / video room that offers also room to classes and larger groups. And the „space of science“ presents facts & figures to the wisent – targeted and loosened up. Many more exhibits and interactive elements such as PC terminals also provide access to entertaining and playful knowledge.
